Safety Requirements for Members and Friends
Attending Services and Gatherings

We want to provide a safe space for worship and fellowship with as fewer restrictions as possible, while we are aware of the principle “do no harm” especially for the vulnerable among us.  The Admin Council, which functions as our PRG (Post-Covid Re-entry Group), has authorized the following safety measures that are within the parameters of the Bishop’s direction and the Governor’s order.  As the circumstances change, this document is subject to revision, when deemed necessary.

General Rules

  • Compliance with this guideline will be required of all committees and groups, including outside groups.
  • If any are sick or have had a temperature or have been exposed to anyone who has Covid 19 within the past 14 days, they must stay home for the safety of all.
  • Physical distancing is required at all times on church property or having a church gathering on or off the property. [No limits on the number of people at religious gatherings]
  • Fully vaccinated persons may be unmasked in indoor and outdoor settings, including worship, while the unvaccinated are encouraged to wear masks.
  • Self-check in at door with Health Acknowledgement Poster [Entryway Health Registration or Covid Church Registration Form is no longer required]
  • Disinfecting must be done immediately following meetings. Wipe or spray all seats and surfaces that are touched.  Restrooms must be disinfected, if used.

For Worship Purpose

  • Fully vaccinated persons may sing without masks in indoor and outdoor settings, including worship, while the unvaccinated are encouraged to sing with masks.
  • Use prepackaged communion elements (cup and wafer) for Communion Sunday
  • Place offering plates on a table near the exit door
  • Use digital bulletins
  • Open doors from the Fellowship Hall to the restrooms to eliminate the need to touch
  • Coordinate volunteers: greeters, ushers, and parking attendants
